FLC Centre at Langford Opened in January 2016

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science in which tactics derived from the principles of behavior are applied to improve socially significant behavior and experimentation is used to identify the variables responsible for the improvement in behavior (Cooper, Heron and Heward, 2007). Its application to children diagnosed with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities has been well researched and shown to lead to meaningful increases in the skill level of children.

Our mission is to provide evidence-based behavior analytic services to learners with autism and other developmental disabilities through direct services. We accomplish this by ensuring that the learner’s progress occurs through the arrangement of teaching environments which are positive and designed to allow the learner to continue to develop language and other skills in typical community and family settings.
FLC promotes, disseminates and coordinates best practices in the training of staff to ensure effective learning and a better quality of life to all our learners.

To further our reach and provide services to more people in Greater Victoria, Functional Learning Centre is please to announce the opening of its new branch in Langford to better serve clients in Langford, Colwood, Millstream, Bear Mountain and the Westshore area.

The centre is located at 200-754 Goldstream Avenue at the Langford Centre plaza (next to Fairway Market).
